Martinelli's Company Store

This is a hidden gem of an activity to do with kids (or without them- I won't judge). The Martinelli's Company Store is located in Watsonville, CA, and is extremely easy to find (and has free parking). I actually really enjoyed the drive to the store, because you got to see a bunch of farms and other cute places to stop. They are open Monday through Saturday.

When you walk inside the store, they have a small museum area with items that are special to their company history. There is also a video about how they make apple cider. We loved watching the apples get cleaned, pressed, and bottled into the cider we know and love.

There is also a mix and match area for to purchase sparkling cider, and they don't just have apple and grape flavors. You can mix and match 6 bottles of sparkling cider for $18, which was a great deal.

The front of the store is inviting and well maintained

The highlight for kids is the complimentary apple cider tasting. They have a list of 20 (!) flavors to try. The kids in our group liked the Unfiltered Honeycrisp Cider the most and the adults absolutely loved the Apple-Mango Sparkling Cider. After we purchased bottles to take home, the AMAZING tasting room staff gave us mini bottles to go. They were incredibly sweet to think of the rest of our day after we left and sneak us a treat for the kids.

We ended up taking advantage of a lot of deals

I had no idea that the apple cider that I grew up on was made so close to home, and it was like a blast from the past trying all of the ciders that we could.
