Railroad Park

Railroad Park

Hoping to get out of the house while schools are closed? Pack your clorox wipes and hand sanitizer and head to Railroad Park in Morgan Hill! It's located right near downtown Morgan Hill, has structures for all ages, and has been extremely clean every time we have gone.

My favorite part about this park is that it is fully gated (double gates because of the nearby train tracks) and is under police video surveillance at all times. They have the cleanest park bathrooms I've ever seen, and there is a small food stand nearby where you can grab a drink or a bite to eat.

There are many different structures in this park. It has a tall structure with slides coming out of it (be aware- once your kid goes in here, it is IMPOSSIBLE to find them on a busy day! Have them wear bright colors to find them more easily). There is a stationary train that kids can climb on and in. There is a small playground for toddlers. They have rock climbing structures and a huge triangular rope structure. They also have a fun music area.

There is plenty of seating for parents on benches and on planters located around the park. Be aware that there isn't a ton of shade in the park. When I went to take these photos it was an extraordinarily hot day and there were zero kids in the park because no one could take the heat (my shoes were actually melting on the ground because it was so hot). Keep this in mind if you plan to go during the summer, because it can get uncomfortable. Every other time I have gone to this park it's been packed!
